Who should rent a standard porta potty?
A standard porta potty fits job sites, home remodels, septic repairs, farm crews and casual parties where guests do not expect a sink. One unit serves about 50 guests for a 4-hour event or up to 10 workers for a 40-hour week with weekly service. It needs no water or power hookup.
Add a hand wash station when food is served. For dressier events, compare the deluxe flushing unit. See all units and fees in the porta potty price guide.
Standard porta potty questions
Does a standard porta potty have a sink?
A standard porta potty has a hand sanitizer dispenser, not a sink. Add a hand wash station, or rent a deluxe flushing unit that has a foot-pump sink inside.
Does a standard porta potty have a urinal?
Each standard unit has a urinal beside the seat, which keeps the seat cleaner on job sites.
Will a standard unit fit through my backyard gate?
The unit is about 44 inches wide, so the gate needs at least 48 inches. Measure before delivery day and tell us if it is tight.
Are standard units lit inside at night?
A translucent roof lets daylight in, but there is no electric light. For night events, add a battery light or choose a restroom trailer.
