How many porta potties do I need for my event?
A 4-hour event needs 1 standard porta potty for every 50 guests, so 150 guests need 3 units. Add 1 unit for every 2 units when the event runs 5 to 8 hours, and add 1 unit per 100 guests when alcohol is served. Public events also need at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit.

When is an event porta potty delivered and picked up?
Event porta potties are delivered the day before the event, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., because routes cannot promise an exact hour. Pickup is the next business day. A Saturday wedding gets a Friday drop and a Monday pickup, and the price stays the same as a one-day rental.
Nobody needs to be there. Put out cones or ribbon where you want the units. The driver calls about 30 minutes before arrival.
Should I rent a standard unit, a flushing unit or a restroom trailer?
Rent standard porta potties for casual parties, church picnics and sports days. Rent deluxe flushing units with sinks when guests dress up, such as showers and smaller weddings. Rent a restroom trailer for weddings over about 100 guests when the site has a power outlet, level ground and room for a truck.

Does my event need a permit for porta potties?
Events on Borough of Chambersburg streets, sidewalks or parks need a special event permit from the borough, and the restroom plan is part of that application. Private backyards and church grounds usually need no restroom permit. Rules differ by township, so confirm with your municipal office before the event.

A lock hasp can be fitted so you can padlock the unit overnight. Leave the key under the unit or at your office for the driver at pickup.
Does an event rental include cleaning during the event?
Event rentals arrive clean and stocked and are not serviced during the rental. Multi-day festivals can add a service visit between days.
Can I swap a standard unit for a wheelchair-accessible one later?
Swaps can be made until 3 p.m. the business day before delivery. The quote changes only by the price difference between the units.
Is a church or nonprofit event charged sales tax?
Tax-exempt churches, schools, fire companies and police departments send their exemption certificate and we remove PA sales tax from the invoice.
