How Porta Potty Rental Works, From Booking to Pickup
Every step of a rental, what to prepare, and how to stop billing when you are done.
How does renting a porta potty work, start to finish?
Renting a porta potty takes 5 steps: get a quote, sign and pay from your phone, mark the spot, receive the delivery, then call or text for pickup. A standard Chambersburg booking takes about 5 minutes on the phone, and same-day delivery is possible when you call by 12 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
- QuoteCall or send the form with the address, dates, unit and head count.
- Sign and payWe text and email a secure invoice. Double-tap the signature box to sign on a phone.
- Mark the spotUse a cone, ribbon or chalk. Note gates, dogs and low wires.
- Delivery8 a.m.–5 p.m. The driver calls 30 minutes ahead and sets the unit level.
- PickupEvent units leave on the quoted date. Long rentals: call or text and billing stops.
What do I need to prepare before delivery?
Before a porta potty delivery, clear a level spot about 4 by 4 feet for a standard unit, within about 15 feet of where a pickup truck can park. Check that any gate is at least 4 feet wide, that branches and wires are above 10 feet, and that dogs are inside. Unlock gates or share the code.
- Level ground: a slight slope is fine; a steep one can tip the unit.
- Firm ground: after rain, choose pavement or gravel over soft lawn.
- Door direction: tell us which way the door should face for privacy.
- Distance from food: keep units at least 20 feet from food tables and downwind if possible.
How is a porta potty serviced?
A porta potty on a 28-day rental is serviced once a week on the same weekday. The technician pumps the tank, cleans the seat, urinal, walls and floor, adds fresh deodorizer, and restocks paper and sanitizer. If nobody can let the truck in on service day, call by 3 p.m. the business day before to move the visit.
How do I extend or end a porta potty rental?
To extend a porta potty rental, do nothing: 28-day rentals renew automatically at the lower renewal rate. To end the rental, call or text (610) 229-0108 with the address. Billing stops that day, and the unit is picked up on the next route, usually within 1 to 2 business days.
What happens in winter?
From December through March, porta potties in the Chambersburg area get an antifreeze brine in the tank so waste does not freeze solid. Keep a shoveled path from the driveway to the unit after snow. If ice blocks the service truck, we reschedule the visit for the first clear day at no charge.
More cold-weather tips are in our winter porta potty guide. Placement details are in where to place a porta potty.
Booking and delivery questions
Can I pay with a check when the driver arrives?
Payment is taken by card through the secure invoice link before delivery. Churches, schools and businesses can ask about invoice terms.
What if the signature box will not work on my phone?
Type your first and last name, then double-tap inside the box and hold while you draw. If it still fails, we resend the link by email.
Can the driver call someone else on delivery day?
Add a second contact name and number when you book, such as a site foreman or the office.
Can I move the porta potty myself?
Please do not move or tip the unit, because the tank holds liquid. Call or text and we move it on the next visit.
